Guidance for Buying a Puppy from Us
1. Quarantine Requirements: For the health and safety of all dogs, each puppy in our care is kept in a designated environment. We request that after bringing your puppy home, you follow a quarantine process within your home and garden. Quarantine should continue until the puppy receives its second vaccination and completes its worming protocol.
2. Health & Timing: Puppies don't develop full immunity until around 12weeks, so we recommend taking them home between 8 to 13 weeks old. Occasionally, we may have older puppies who are fully vaccinated, wormed, and socialised and would love a great home. Please consider these puppies as well, as they are often eager to please and just as ready for a family.
3. Puppies Needing Extra Care: Some puppies may be genetically smaller or need extra time to grow and develop. We ensure they are well-prepared for life in a busy home and keep them up to date on worming, flea treatments, and initial vaccinations.
4. Commitment to the Right Home: We aim to make sure every puppy is a good match for their future family. We encourage you to make multiple visits to get to know the puppy that best suits your home and lifestyle, ensuring it’s a lasting choice.
5. In-Person Visits Only: All puppies are sold from our licensed premises, where we prioritise cleanliness and health. To protect our environment and puppies, we ask that you avoid visiting multiple breeders in a single day, as this can introduce bacteria or viruses to our kennel.
6. Licensed and Reputable Breeding: We are a licensed breeder and proud of the quality care and attention we provide. Please be cautious about terms like "puppy farm," which are often used incorrectly. We adhere to local licensing and recommend checking with councils if you have any concerns about a breeder's legality.
7. Professional Advertising: As a licensed breeder, we don’t advertise on general platforms like Gumtree. Instead, we rely on our website and referrals. This helps us to control the adoption process and ensures that puppies are going to responsible homes.
8. After-Adoption Care and Communication: We encourage all adopters to plan for a long-term commitment to their new puppy. If you cannot care for the dog, it's better to work with extended family rather than resell the puppy. We stay in touch with our customers and provide support to help you raise a happy, healthy dog.
9. Positive Customer Experiences: We take pride in the great feedback we receive from our customers, and we appreciate the referrals they give us. Seeing one of our dogs with a happy family is the best testimony to our work and care.
